I cannot get hold of customer service for a refund which I’ve asked for in line with their refund policy (unused kit and within time frame). They don’t answer their customer service email.

The only number is a California one which I won’t be calling from the U.K.

Wish I had seen the reviews before I purchased.

App doesn't work

This service provides no value whatsoever. Insights are generic and the content is word vomit. Total con. Save your $$$ and avoid.

Sent my kit off in June and just keep getting emails saying the results are due by a certain date. That date comes and goes and I receive a message to say they are busy, and the date changes. Have yet to get past this point! Reading the reviews I doubt I’ll trust the results when they do arrive, and I’ll end up paying a more reputable company to do what I’ve paid this company to do.
UPDATE 5/9 still waiting for results. Last I heard it would take up to 3 days to review, and that was 12 days ago. Page just now says they are busy!

I’ve changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars based on the most recent ethnicity update which shows more percentage of my Greek ethnicity. While it’s still off quite a bit it’s getting closer. Hopefully the next update will be a little more accurate. It is still interesting to see how many people you share DNA with. Another caveat is the option to view health traits which may help you take precautions concerning certain genetic health issues before they manifest. Overall I’m happy with 23&me.

Painfully slow - the timeline on the app is a waste of time

Really good service and detailed report. I'm really pleased with the information I received based on my results. They helped resolve an incorrect information issue I had with another DNA service. The app is organised really well and the service is very easy to use.

Although my kit’s tracking information shows it was delivered to 23andMe Distribution Center, they identified that their laboratory had not received my sample kit.

It took more than five months to provide me with this information. And they could not issue a refund; they gave an invalid Tango Card.

They made you pay for FedEx’s poor performance.

The “solutions” they found are far from a solution-oriented approach. Customer services are a big disappointment.

My sample was lost. The company took ages to admit it. Communication was poor. Their app rubbish. I was promised a refund but it hasn't arrived.

I like reminding myself where I started & where I am now with 23&Me. ⚕️
